Here is the info we need for next Saturday - so we can access from mobile phones when we're in London
We need to meet at ST SAVIOUR'S PIMLICO AT 11.15 ish
PIMLICO is the nearest tube station - this is on the Victoria (light blue) line.
map from tube to church is here:
rules are here: rules
you might need to zoom in a bit, it is the nearest church to the station!
Major tickets = Maximus tickets
Confirmed by Adrian Udal - organiser
Also note that Major tickets (like Maximus tickets) give contestants full access to the day's other activities including, in particular, the Centenary Reception & prize-giving at Methodist Central Hall.
Rules:
there are prizes for both call change ringing and method ringing. the contest trophy is awarded to the best overall winners.
The test piece shall start and end in rounds and include queens (13572468) and whittingtons (12753468)
Call changes shall be a minimum of 160 rows
Teams may supply someone to count their rows during the test piece if required
All rows counted from first change to when it gets back to rounds. Anything under 160 changes is counted as a fault. This means, (a) we need a strong start and (b) we don't come back to rounds until 160 changes and (c) we need to be back in round as soon as possible after 160 changes.
The starting signal is 1 2 1 2 1 2 1 2. (two bells do two whole pulls!)
We have 15 minutes to adjust ropes, practice, signal and complete test piece.
I reckon, it will take about 7 minutes for the test piece. So allow 6 minutes to sort ropes and practice.
