Branch BBQ

First to let you know that there was £66.00 left over from the BBQ. This has been donated to the Branch Bell Fund.

The Branch BBQ was yet again a tremendously successful event. With over 50 people attending and our very own President barbequing (with a production line!) it was a very exciting day. A large Connect 4 and Jenga caused amusement and Ernie lost at Croquet though he informs me that they did not play the 'extra hoop' rule! Swimming and tennis also occupied many with Cricket eventually rained off (probably bad light too). I'd like to apologise to Mandy Dawson for running her out. With spare ribs (but no Robin), chicken legs, burgers and sausages and a huge range of super salads we all tucked in which was followed by puddings! A Triple-stacked meringue was embedded with candles and given to one of our ringers for their birthday (thanks Joan) and a group photo was taken (which will soon be available on the website)! Ben's parents were presented with flowers and many thanks to them for all their hard work! Also to those who made puddings or salads a big thank you! Thanks to Ben for hosting so successfully and to the Branch Committee for organising the ringing and President Al for his indubitable impressive barbequing skills! A great day out!
