Lincoln Diocesan Guild Southern Branch Quarter Peal week Sunday 12th to Sunday 19th April 2009
In total, there were 13 quarters scored, with 37 ringers taking part. Two people rang their first quarter peals, and there were fourteen other firsts or most methods, so well done to them all. A special thanks must go to the conductors, and all those who helped to organise towers and bands.
On Sunday 24th May 2009, the rehung bells at Boothby Pagnell rang out to welcome Bishop Tim, who had come to rededicate them. The bells were originally cast in 1867 by Taylor and Sons from Loughborough for Aisthorpe church north of Lincoln. Sadly, Aisthorpe church is now redundant but it was agreed that they could be transferred to Boothby Pagnell and they were installed in December 2008.
